We have provided Intensive revision courses for Beaumont Leys School

We have worked very closely with the school to help improve their schools Mathematics GCSE results. The school have approached us to design intensive revision courses tailored to the needs of their students.

February Half Term 2013

We arranged a three day revision course for year 11 students who were on a grade C/D boundary. These students were taught in small groups just like the would in a tuition class. Direct Tuition arranged a GCSE Maths Tuition style course for the school with four Maths teachers. The feedback from the students was excellent and they sat their exams the following week and felt more confident.

Students got their results in April 2013 and the school had exceeded their predicted grades for this year as well as what they had achieved in 2011/2012.

May Half Term 2013

The school asked us to arrange another three day revision program. As most of their Year 11’s had already passed their Maths GCSE, we were asked to spend one day working with students doing the Higher GCSE who had achieved grade C’s and B’s to help them move towards B’s,A’s and A*’s. We then spent two days working with students who were working towards a grade C on the Foundation GCSE. Again this was done in the style of tuition classes with small groups and we concentrated on a variety of topics which their school teachers had identified for us as areas of weakness.
