  8. Anish says:

Congratulations to the following people for getting the correct answer of 285 squares to this weeks puzzle.

    1 Anisha Makadia
    2 Amit Parekh
    3 Nabeel Osman
    4 Nilesh Chauhan
    5 Afrin Osman
    6 Fayaz Sheikh
    7 Mohammad Charagh Alam
    8 Mohsin Osman
    9 Shivani Vyas
    10 Rabia Aslam
    11 Keiran Bhatha

The winner will be selected at random from the above 11 correct entries by the following process:

The National lottery “Lotto” draw will take place tonight and the bonus ball is a randomly selected number between 1 and 49.
We will take this number and divide it by 11 since there are 11 winners and the remainder from the division will indicate who has won the £10 voucher prize. (If there is no remainder person no.11 will win)

For example if the bonus ball is 35, we do 35/11=3 remainder 2 so person no. 2 will win (Amit Parekh)
Another example if 8, then 8/11=0 remainder 8, so person 8 wins

This seems to be the fairest way I can think of to determine who gets the prize, they will then be asked to explain how to get an answer of 285 and if correct they will win. If they cant successfully explain the answer the prize will go to the next person in the list and they will be asked to explain.
